The 20/20 MDS® student tracking system

Student Tracking System

The contents of a tracking system (that is, the data to be included for each student) generally fall into three categories:

measures of the attributes students bring with them to a program of learning, such as ethnicity, educational goals, or academic ability;
 
stage by stage measures of academic performance, such as grade point averages earned each semester or credits earned as a proportion of total credits attempted; and
 
measures of success after students complete a program, such as performance at the workplace.
 

Such data make possible longitudinal analyses of nearly endless combinations of student outcomes and attributes.

The 20/20 MDS® program has a full built-in student tracking or measurement process. This process consists of the following Key elements:
   
An automated student course application process (giving potential students an electronic form to both collect simple data and to indicate why an elected learning program is likely to add value to both themselves and the organization as a whole).
An on-line student leadership testing process (the LMAT™ (described elsewhere on this web site) including test enrollment, results tracking and standard setting capability (required pass marks etc).
A full on-line enrollment database which records all the student data a client may want to hold and later report upon.
     
20/20 MDS® employs a progress reporting system to show module progress, marks attained from project work, assessment and test results, online module completion rates, etc.
